The Church Planters Course

What Is The Church Planters Course (CPC)?

CPC is an integrated and strategically designed course in response to the 2020 vision.

A CPC participant is someone who is already proven in a C3 Church (see application info). CPC graduates will plant a C3 Location, an extension service/campus/satellite/church within two years of the course .

CPC is also distinctive in its holistic development of the church planters in their leadership skills, ministry skills, and personal spiritual, financial, physical, psychological and marital world.

The CPC combines seven key components:

  1. The local churches identification, mentoring, and ongoing support of church planters
  2. Two intensives over a 12 month period – training input by C3 leaders who have successfully planted churches themselves
  3. Set reading of C3 material & other material introduced to C3 Aust e.g. NCD
  4. Individual consultations in the following areas.
    • Marriage profiling
    • Physical fitness – with set program
    • Personal financial planning
    • Life Goals
  5. Demographic profiling for the new church plant area (produced by the CPC team)
  6. Complete set of standardised notes, videos and audio material, weekly reflection material and mentoring work book
  7. Ongoing support of coaching from the CPC team.

What CPC Is Not

CPC is not a course about church planting where people work out whether they could plant a church.

This happens before – the CPC candidates must be fully approved and tested in their local church before they are sent to the course. The course is for church planters not about church planting.

CPC is a course for the few, not the many. Therefore it has a maximum of 24 participants per course. CPC is not about theories. CPC only has trainers who have planted c3 churches and are current practitioners. CPC focuses on what works. CPC is not a general course for church planters. CPC is a specific course for C3 church planters.

It is suitable for all forms of Location Plants – Extension Services, Campus Plants, Satellite Plants & Church Plants

Costs & Essential Info

The cost for the CPC is $200 per person per intensive which covers food and resources. The total cost per person is $400 to be paid at the commencement of the course. The course is designed for both husband and wife to participate. Costs for travel, accommodation, and recommended reading material/profile tests are to be covered by the participants or their sending church.

C3 Australia covers the significant costs of administration, mentoring, travel, accommodation and food for the trainers. As a commitment to the 2020 vision all trainers give their time freely. The course is currently offered at a highly subsidised rate which is subject to change in the future.

The CPC is currently run at C3 Church Ryde, Sydney. In the case that travel, accommodation, childcare etc costs may be an issue, a request for the application of further subsidy may be considered. Such consideration would require a discussion between the sending church Senior Minister and CPC Director.

About C3 Church

C3 Church Founders

Ps. Phil and Chris Pringle are the founders of the C3 Global movement.

Coming from New Zealand to Sydney in 1980, they set out to start a church that would be contemporary, relevant, and anointed. Phil is passionate about building faith filled, anointed churches that are motivated to reach the lost and make disciples. His heart is to see local churches thrive in their community through functioning in the power of the Holy Spirit and feeding on the Word of God. Mama Chris, as she is affectionately known, brings life, revelation, healing and joy. Everyone who experiences her ministry will find themselves inspired, encouraged and changed.

Who We Are

Our movement is committed to healthy relationships and connection between ministers and churches. As an international family our members are able to walk into any of our C3 Churches around the world and know they’re home. We are united with Christ in His vision, and therefore our mission, to save the lost, make disciples and build His church.

Where We’ve Come From

With a passion for Jesus and desire to see this world won for Christ, Phil and Chris Pringle came to Sydney in 1980 to start a church. With just 12 people attending an Easter service, Christian Centre Northside began and the C3 Church movement as we now know was birthed. This church grew to over 400 in 4 years and soon began planting within Sydney and beyond to cities and countries outside of Australia.

Where We Are Going

With over 300 churches in 64 countries, we are rapidly moving towards the 2020 Vision of 1,000 churches with an average membership of 500 people planted by the year 2020.
